Rules of Play


1,350 prizes will be awarded.  The total value of all prizes is approximately $1,207,766.39 including applicable taxes.  All prizes are tax-exempt.  Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.  See lottery brochure for a complete list of prizes, visit www.handinhandlottery.com, www.loteriemaindanslamain.com, or for inquiries 506-387-3997.

TICKETS

A total of 25,050 tickets will be printed with a maximum of 24,800 tickets available for sale and 250 tickets won as prizes in the lottery.

Tickets are 1 for $100, 3 for $250 or 5 for $375.  Tickets are printed in sequential order.  Guidelines are as follows:  one method of payment, all 3 or 5 packs must contain the same purchaser’s information and will be mailed to the primary ticket holder (the first name that appears on the ticket).  Only one envelope will be mailed containing the tickets to a NEW BRUNSWICK address when placing an order by mail, phone or online. Only one envelope will be mailed containing the tickets to a NEW BRUNSWICK address or a mailing address OUTSIDE of NEW BRUNSWICK when placing an order in person at the Dream Home, Hospital locations, Jean Coutu locations, Costco, etc.  Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the draw.  In the event of an invalid cheque or credit card ticket(s) issued will be considered invalid.  Please allow a minimum of three weeks for delivery of ticket(s).  It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure they have received their ticket(s) before the draws commence.  Any change to the ticket buyer’s name requires written consent and photo ID of the primary ticket holder.  Tickets cannot be reimbursed once draws commence.

50/50 PLUS TICKETS

50/50 Plus tickets must be ordered in conjunction with your Hand in Hand Dream Lottery ticket purchase. 50/50 Plus ticket orders will not be accepted after your original Lottery ticket order date. The 50/50 Plus minimum prize guarantee is $100,000.  Tickets are 1 for $10, 5 for $25, or 15 for $50.

Final Ticket Sales and 50/50 PLUS Deadline:  Thursday, July 16, 2015

Final Ticket Draw Date:  Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30, 2015

Final Draws will be drawn and awarded starting on Wednesday, July 29, at the Grand Prize Dream Home, 286 Yvonne Street, Dieppe, NB commencing at 10:00 a.m. for prizes with no cash alternatives in order of the least retail value followed by the Cash Calendar Giveaway.  Winners for the Cash Calendar Giveaway will be announced daily from August 1 – 31, 2015.

All remaining prizes with cash options will be drawn and awarded on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Grand Prize Dream Home 286 Yvonne Street, Dieppe, NB starting at 3:00 p.m. in order of the least retail value followed by the 50/50 Plus Draw at 4:30 p.m. and the Grand Prize Dream Home* or Dream Home Package or $700,000 Cash drawn and awarded at 5:00 p.m.

* Possession date for the home including furniture and appliances will be awarded no later than 30 days after the date of the draw.

All of the above-mentioned draws are open to any member of the general public wishing to attend.

DRAW CONTROL

Winning tickets will be drawn under the supervision of the firm AC Stevenson & Partners PC Inc.  Records of the firm AC Stevenson & Partners PC Inc. shall be deemed correct if there is a discrepancy in numbers.  Liability of the Foundations shall be limited to the ticket price paid.

Each ticket is eligible to win one prize in each prize category.  A prize category is defined as a group of identical prizes on the official list of prizes where all prizes are drawn on the same day.  After each prize category draw is complete, all winners are recorded and the ticket numbers go back in the barrel for the next prize category draw. All 1,350 prizes are drawn from a Raffle Drum.

PRIZE CLAIM

The Primary Ticket holder will be notified by phone and/or mail by AC Stevenson & Partners PC Inc. as to what they have won and where/how to claim their prize(s).  Winners may be required to present picture identification in order to claim their prize.

Major prize winners will be published in the local Moncton papers.  A complete list of all winners will be published online at www.handinhandlottery.com and www.loteriemaindanslamain.com.

Prizes will be awarded to the primary ticket holder (the first name that appears on the ticket).  Any transfer of prizes must happen independently of the Hand In Hand Dream Lottery.  Prizes given as awarded, no substitutions except where cash equivalent is specified.  Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated in any advertising. Vehicle winners are responsible for license and insurance.  Vacation reservations must be made at the latest one month prior to departure date and prize may be subject to holiday seasonal blackout dates.  Packages are always subject to availability at time of booking and any changes or upgrades to packages are at the winner’s expense.  Winners are responsible for any travel documents such as Passport.  Travel Insurance is not included, but is highly recommended.  Moncton is the point of departure for all packages.  Prize is non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash.  The winner(s) must travel within 12 months of the lottery draw date.

CONTEST GUIDELINES

Contest guidelines prohibit the following persons and their immediate families residing in the same household from purchasing a ticket in the Hand in Hand Lottery:  Board Members and employees of the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation and CHU Dumont Foundation, AC Stevenson & Partners PC Inc. and Paul Bourque Chartered Accountants.

Purchasers must be at least 19 years of age.  Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor.

The Foundations reserve the right to use winners’ names and photos in communication, promotional and media materials.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the mailing address and phone number on their ticket is correct.
